Plans & billing
OpenTeller is a paid app, no free tier, and no harvesting your data to pay the bills. There are two plans. Here's what each one gets you and how billing works.
Pro: monthly
The private plan. You run in iCloud mode with no account, and your data lives in your own iCloud. There's no free trial on Pro.
Pro is App Store only, so the price you pay is the one your storefront shows. Open the app's paywall to see it in your own currency.

Pro+: monthly, with a free trial
The account plan. It's everything in Pro, plus the connected features that need an OpenTeller account.
Pricing varies by region on both billing paths. The App Store paywall and the web checkout each show your local price before you pay.
On top of Pro, Pro+ adds:
- One-tap bank sync, in your browser with the Chrome extension and in the iOS app
- The web app
- Advanced AI model in Ask
- Household sharing
- API & MCP access
Which one to pick
Choose Pro if you want maximum privacy and don't need the web app, sharing, or bank sync. Choose Pro+ if you want one-tap bank sync, the web app, household sharing, or to connect AI tools.
It maps to how you set up the app: picking iCloud mode is Pro, and an OpenTeller account is Pro+.

Billing
There are two ways to subscribe to Pro+, and both unlock the same account:
- In the iOS app: billed through your Apple ID. Manage or cancel in your App Store subscription settings.
- On the web: create an account at openteller.app/register and pay by card (billing by Stripe). Manage or cancel from Settings → Plan → Manage subscription.
Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the current period ends (for App Store billing, at least 24 hours before). Pro is iOS-only. It's the no-account iCloud mode, so there's nothing for the web to sign in to.
Prices vary by region. Whichever way you subscribe, the price you'll be charged is shown before you confirm: the App Store paywall in the app, and the checkout page on the web.
The free trial
Pro+ comes with a free trial on both billing paths, but the length differs: subscribe in the app and the App Store sets it (and can vary it by region, so check the paywall), or subscribe on the web for 7 days. Either way, if you don't cancel before it ends it converts to the paid plan, and it's one trial per account.
Restore purchases
If you reinstall the app or move to a new device, use Restore to bring your subscription back. There's no second charge.
Switching plans
Upgrades and downgrades are handled by the App Store with normal proration.
Households
One Pro+ subscription can cover household sharing, so everyone in your household sees the shared finances.
Currency accounts
Every plan includes unlimited currency accounts. Living across two currencies never means paying for two subscriptions.
