OpenTeller

Terms of Service

Effective June 12, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and OpenTeller, operated by Oluwatimi Owoturo ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the OpenTeller app or website (the "Service"), you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13 years old. You may only import financial data that belongs to you or that you're authorized to manage.

3. What OpenTeller is (and isn't)

OpenTeller is a personal finance tracking tool. It shows you your own data: spending, budgets, recurring bills, and trends. It is not a bank, broker, or advisor, and nothing in the Service is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Decisions you make based on the Service are your own.

4. Your data

Your financial data is yours. In iCloud mode it's stored in your own iCloud and we never receive it. In account mode you give us permission to store and process it solely to operate the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We claim no other rights to it.

5. Bank sync

Automatic bank sync opens your bank's website inside the app on your device, where you log in directly with your bank. You're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for complying with your bank's own terms of use. We never receive your credentials and we're not responsible for your bank's availability, accuracy, or changes to its website.

6. AI features

The Service includes AI features such as the assistant, screenshot import, and CSV column detection. AI output can be wrong. Review AI-extracted or AI-drafted data before relying on it. Anything the AI proposes to add or change requires your explicit confirmation, and you're responsible for what you confirm.

7. Acceptable use

8. Subscriptions

Some features may require a paid subscription billed through Apple. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in your App Store settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends. Prices may change with notice; refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. Free features and any free period are provided as-is and may change.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or puts the Service or other users at risk. Sections 4, 10, 11, and 12 survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of data. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant we'll note it in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
